Canada Post is issuing a stamp to commemorate the XII Summit of la Francophonie which will take place in Quebec City. The new issue will be a domestic rate (52 cents) stamp featuring a photograph of Quebec City.
Canada was a founding member of the international organization l'Agence de cooperation culturelle et technique which was renamed the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie in 2005. This year's gathering will take place in Quebec City with representatives from more than 60 countries attending.
